Jesmond Parish Church was founded in 1861 in memory of Richard
Clayton,
the great Tyneside nineteenth century Christian leader.
The present church building
was designed by the famous Newcastle architect John Dobson.
As a 7-day-a-week church
we aim to care for every age range and the whole family.
There is a vibrant and exciting programme for young people;
many students
(UK and international) attend our services, and there are
a wide variety of groups for adults.
Visitors are very welcome at our services.
Many people come on Sundays just to investigate
the Christian message. Those who are asking questions often
find it helpful to attend our Christianity
Explored evenings.
Join us when you visit our city (Newcastle upon Tyne) or our region (Northumbria) - one of the most beautiful in Britain and full of Christian history. From here in the 7th and 8th centuries Cuthbert spoke and Bede wrote about Jesus Christ. Members of Jesmond Parish Church seek to do the same in the 21st century.
